Week 6
No pictures this week. None of the work done really shows up in the photos I took.
The only visible change has been the mudding work. This, as it turns out, is applying the texture to the sheet rock prior to painting.
The painter, Doug, was in over the weekend and got most of the paint done. He wanted to get it done before the cabinets go in. So the walls and ceilings have been done. They'll be some finish work required after everything else is done, but that will have to wait until February.
The cabinets have started to arrive, so that's one big worry over with. I was concerned that they wouldn't arrive soon enough.
The next two weeks are exciting. The hardwood floor is going in, cabinats are going to be installed and the tiling starts. All very exciting. I expect to see big changes when I get back after the holidays.
